About La Station – Gare des Mines

La Station – Gare des Mines is a club and arts venue at 29 avenue de la Porte d'Aubervilliers on the northern edge of Paris, built on the remains of a disused coal station. David Georges-François and Olivier Le Gal of Collectif MU, an arts production office founded in 2002, opened it in June 2016 on a six month temporary lease, and the City of Paris has since given it a permanent place in the area's redevelopment. Club nights and concerts take place in two spaces, Station Nord and Station Sud, and in 2020 the site added a 5,000 square metre outdoor plot and a new building. The programme focuses on the margins of music, from experimental club sounds to hardcore, and the venue holds the Club Culture label from the French Ministry of Culture.
