About Les Bains

Les Bains is a hotel with a club at 7 Rue du Bourg-l'Abbé in the 3rd arrondissement of Paris, in the building of the former Les Bains Douches. The site opened in 1885 as the Bains Guerbois, a private bathhouse whose regulars included Marcel Proust. On 21 December 1978 it reopened as the Bains Douches nightclub, with a black and white tiled interior by Philippe Starck and a pool in the basement. It hosted concerts by Joy Division, who recorded a live album there in December 1979, and Depeche Mode's first French show in 1981, and David and Cathy Guetta ran the club in the 1990s. The club closed in 2010.

After a renovation by the owner, Jean-Pierre Marois, the building reopened in 2015 as a five-star hotel with 39 rooms and suites, the Roxo restaurant and bar, a pool rebuilt as before and a smaller club. The club programme books DJs, artists and bands across electro, indie and pop rock, with nights running from 23:30 to 04:30 at the end of the week.
