About Cabaret Sauvage

Cabaret Sauvage is a venue in the Parc de la Villette in Paris's 19th arrondissement, entered from 59 boulevard Macdonald near Porte de la Villette metro. Méziane Azaïche founded it in December 1997, after a Magic Mirror tent he set up in the park in 1994 drew 25,000 visitors. In summer 2019 the old big top was replaced by a new wooden Magic Mirror, which the venue describes as the first soundproofed one in the world, keeping the red velvet banquettes, stained glass and circular dance floor. It holds 1,300 people standing. Alongside concerts, cabaret and circus, it hosts club nights from promoters such as Distrikt Paris and La Fessée Musicale, techno, house and Latin parties, open airs on a 2,000 m² terrace above the Canal de l'Ourcq, and afters at the floating Babour Sauvage opposite.
