At the core of this year’s experience is a monumental 10-hour live set by Reinier Zonneveld, commanding the stage with his custom-engineered R² soundsystem. Known for his marathon sets and unfiltered energy, Zonneveld won’t be alone—his set is interwoven with exclusive F2F (face-to-face) battles alongside techno giants and unexpected guests, including Angerfist, Pan-Pot, DYEN, Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, and Showtek. This format, unique to R², offers one-time-only sonic confrontations that blur the lines between live performance and collaborative chaos.
The 2025 lineup features over 40 acts across multiple stages, balancing veteran pioneers with rising forces across techno, hard techno, acid, trance, and melodic house. Festival-goers can expect titans like Chris Liebing, Claptone, Dr. Peacock, CJ Bolland, and Benny Rodrigues, alongside innovative names such as VE/RA, AZYR, STÜM, THMS, Biianco, and Kiki Solvej. The inclusion of mysterious unannounced guests, and genre-bending sets like Klaus Veen’s ‘Special Gold Set’, add an element of surprise to an already explosive program.
Spanning from 17:00 to 23:00, R² Festival embraces a twilight-to-nightfall format, creating a high-intensity six-hour journey driven by raw aesthetics, immersive lighting designs, and open-air energy.
