The 16 Best Beach Clubs for Techno and House Lovers (2026)

The best beach clubs for techno and house, from Blue Marlin and Ushuaïa in Ibiza to Scorpios, Papaya Playa Project, Savaya Bali and Lost Beach Club, with full sets.

Last updated: 23 October 2026

Techno by the sea is its own genre: slower, sunnier, played to people in swimwear from late afternoon until the stars come out. The beach clubs below are the ones that book real techno, tech house and melodic house lineups rather than a lounge playlist, from Ibiza’s Cala Jondal to a cliff in Bali and a surf town in Ecuador. Each entry links to the club’s page in our clubs directory, which has the address, opening season and upcoming events. Rebuilt in October 2026 with 16 clubs across four continents.

Ibiza

Blue Marlin Ibiza logoBlue Marlin Ibiza, Cala Jondal

The original Ibiza beach club for people who wanted house and techno with their sunbed. Blue Marlin sits on Cala Jondal on the south coast and runs DJ sessions from the afternoon into the night, with regular appearances from Ibiza residents and the occasional Music On or Afterlife name. Expensive, well dressed and still the best sound of any beach on the island.

Ushuaïa Ibiza logoUshuaïa Ibiza, Playa d'en Bossa

Not a beach club in the quiet sense: Ushuaïa is a hotel with an open-air stage and a pool, where parties run from late afternoon to midnight in front of several thousand people. Its ANTS parties are the tech house and techno institution, and Calvin Harris, David Guetta and Martin Garrix take the other nights. If you want the biggest production ever built beside a beach, this is it.

Cova Santa logoCova Santa, Sant Josep

Technically a hillside venue with a cave rather than a beach, but no Ibiza techno list is complete without it. Cova Santa hosts WooMoon, Storytellers and a string of underground parties under the pines, and its Sunday gatherings are where the island’s melodic and organic house crowd ends up.

Café del Mar logoCafé del Mar, Sant Antoni

The sunset institution since 1980. Café del Mar is where Balearic chill-out was invented, and while the music is slower than anything else on this list, the sunset session is a rite of passage. Go for the DJs at dusk, then move on to the clubs.

Greece and the Mediterranean

Scorpios logoScorpios, Mykonos

The beach club that made Keinemusik a global brand. Scorpios on Paraga beach runs a Sunday ritual sunset session that has hosted Black Coffee, Rampa, &ME, Solomun and Dixon, and its combination of driftwood architecture, slow house and Aegean light has been copied from Tulum to Dubai. A second Scorpios opened in Tulum; the Mykonos original is still the one.

FarOut Beach Club logoFarOut Beach Club, Ios

On Mylopotas beach on Ios, FarOut is the Greek islands’ answer to a festival: pool parties, water sports and summer residencies with house and techno DJs. Younger and louder than Mykonos, and far cheaper.

Phi Beach logoPhi Beach, Sardinia

Built into the rocks at Baja Sardinia on the Costa Smeralda, Phi Beach is Italy’s best beach club for melodic and tech house, with sunset sets that run into proper parties. A regular stop for Afterlife, Keinemusik and Solomun-adjacent names in July and August.

Papaya Club logoPapaya Club, Zrće, Croatia

Zrće beach on the island of Pag is Croatia’s party strip, and Papaya is its biggest open-air club: pools, foam, and a summer calendar of techno and house festivals, including Hideout and Sonus, that bring Adam Beyer, Charlotte de Witte and Jamie Jones to the sand.

Carpe Diem Beach logoCarpe Diem Beach, Hvar

Reached by boat from Hvar town, Carpe Diem Beach on the island of Stipanska is a beach club by day and an open-air club by night, with house and tech house DJs playing until dawn and the boat taxis running all night.

Sommer Klein logoSommer Klein, Çeşme, Turkey

Turkey’s most serious beach club for electronic music, in Alaçatı near Çeşme on the Aegean coast. Sommer Klein brings international techno and house headliners, including Afterlife and Drumcode names, through the summer, with a sound system that embarrasses most clubs.

Mexico and the Americas

Papaya Playa Project logoPapaya Playa Project, Tulum

The club that made Tulum a techno destination. Papaya Playa Project is a beachfront hotel of palm-roof cabanas that hosts full moon parties and New Year sets from Dixon, &ME, BLOND:ISH and the Afterlife crew, with the sea on one side and the jungle on the other. The sunrise sets are the ones people fly in for.

Gitano Beach logoGitano Beach, Tulum

Gitano started as a jungle restaurant with disco balls and became Tulum’s stylish beach day: house and disco DJs, mezcal and a dancefloor on the sand that fills up after sunset. Softer than Papaya Playa, and the better choice for a Sunday.

Nikki Beach logoNikki Beach, Miami Beach

Open since 1998 at the southern tip of South Beach, Nikki Beach is the original luxury beach club brand. Sunday brunch turns into a house and tech house party, and during Miami Music Week in March the lineup goes properly underground.

Lost Beach Club logoLost Beach Club, Montañita, Ecuador

The surprise entry. Lost Beach Club in the surf town of Montañita has booked Ricardo Villalobos, Nina Kraviz, Carl Cox and Jamie Jones, and for years it has been the only South American beach club with a serious techno policy. A beach, a jungle and a world-class sound system, nine hours from anywhere.

Bali

Savaya logoSavaya, Uluwatu

A temple-like structure on the Uluwatu cliffs, Savaya opened in 2022 and immediately became Asia’s most ambitious electronic music venue: Afterlife, Drumcode, Keinemusik and Cercle have all filmed there, with the sunset over the Indian Ocean as the stage design.

Potato Head Beach Club logoPotato Head Beach Club, Seminyak

The Seminyak institution with the wall of vintage shutters, Potato Head has been the beach home of Boiler Room, Honey Dijon and Peggy Gou in Bali and still runs the best sunset sessions on the island’s west coast.

FINNS Beach Club logoFINNS Beach Club, Canggu

The party end of Bali’s beach club scene, with pools, a bamboo roof and a calendar of international house and techno DJs. Less refined than Savaya, more fun at 6pm.

Beach club FAQ

What is the best beach club for techno?

For pure techno, Ushuaïa’s ANTS parties in Ibiza and Savaya in Bali have the biggest names. For melodic house and sunsets, Scorpios in Mykonos and Papaya Playa Project in Tulum. For sound and intimacy, Blue Marlin Ibiza.

When is beach club season?

Ibiza, Greece and Croatia run from May to early October. Tulum peaks from December to March. Bali is year-round, with the dry season from April to October the most reliable. Miami’s big week is Miami Music Week in late March.

How much does a beach club cost?

Entry is often free before the DJ starts, with minimum spends on sunbeds from around 50 euros in Croatia to several hundred at Blue Marlin or Nikki Beach. Headline nights at Ushuaïa and Savaya are ticketed like club shows.

What should I wear?

Swimwear and something to cover up at the bar. Most clubs enforce a smart-casual rule after sunset; see our techno outfit guide.

The TA view

The beach club has replaced the superclub as the place where techno meets money, and the best ones have kept the music honest: Papaya Playa still books sunrise sets nobody films, Lost Beach Club still flies in Villalobos for a surf town, Savaya still turns the sunset into the show. Pick by the lineup, not the Instagram, and go early enough to hear the warm-up. For the rest of the year, our techno clubs directory covers the rooms with roofs.
