About Lost Beach Club

Lost Beach Club sits on the beachfront of Montañita, the surf town in Santa Elena province on the coast of Ecuador. American entrepreneur Kamran "Kami" Tadayon opened an arts centre on the site in 2001 and turned it into a nightclub in 2010, launching with a New Year's Eve party. Tadayon also owns the neighbouring Dharma Beach hotel, which hosts the club's sunset parties.

The club holds up to 2,500 people. Its Main Floor is an open-air dancefloor under the sky, and La Cueva is a smaller enclosed room with thick walls for concentrated sound; most walls carry galactic, psychedelic murals by artist Iván Casanova. The sound is Funktion-One. Parties run on Friday, Saturday and Monday nights with at least one international DJ each week, and names such as Seth Troxler, tINI, Mochakk, Apollonia and Jamie Jones have played. Lost Beach also runs multi-day marathons, including the Lost Beach Festival and Trotamundo, and was the only Ecuadorian club in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs 2024.
