About Papaya Club

Papaya is an open-air club on Zrće Beach, about five minutes from Novalja on the island of Pag, looking out over the Adriatic toward the Velebit mountains. It opened in 2002 as the second club on the beach after Kalypso, and is run by the Zagreb company MONDO d.o.o. In June 2014 the club rebuilt its main stage as an open-shell structure with new production, lights and sound. The grounds combine the main stage dancefloor, pools, bars and an elevated VIP area, and DJ Mag gives the capacity as 3,500.

The season runs from May to September, with afternoon pool parties and night events every day. The programme mixes big-room EDM, house and techno, and the club hosts festival weeks such as Hideout, Barrakud, Dropzone and Zrce Festival. The 2026 season included Deborah De Luca, Lilly Palmer and Meduza. Papaya reached number 6 in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs in 2018.
