About Dangerous Goods XXL Festival
Dangerous Goods XXL opens its January 2027 run in Western Australia, at Arena Joondalup in Perth’s northern suburbs on Friday 15 January 2027, from 4pm until late. It is the first of five dates, ahead of Sydney on 16 January, Brisbane on 22 January, Melbourne on 23 January and Adelaide on 24 January. The organisers give the Perth capacity as 15,000 to 20,000, with multiple stages and large-scale production.
The Perth line-up differs slightly from the rest of the tour. Boris Brejcha plays what the ticket page calls an extended retirement set, and we track his remaining shows here. Claptone, Darude, Holy Priest, Neelix and Sub Zero Project sit alongside him, with Niotech and 6EJOU also added to the first phase, while the Australian names include Havana Brown, Nik Kastel, Jake Casey and Miss Jade. The stages split between techno, tech house, melodic, hard groove, hardstyle, psytrance and trance, and more acts are still to be announced.
Tickets are sold through Megatix. The first three releases have sold out, and the fourth is listed at AUD 225.99 for general access. The organiser’s own page lists VIP On Stage at AUD 379.99, which adds a viewing platform behind the DJs, skip-the-line entry and merch. For a summer music festival on the west coast, where large techno bookings are less frequent than in Melbourne or Sydney, this is the date to plan around. Check the promoter’s site for entry rules before you travel.
