About Copenhagen Distortion Festival
Copenhagen Distortion runs from 2 to 6 June 2027, five days that take over the city. The festival is built from three parts: Distortion X, the street parties that move around Copenhagen through the week, Distortion O on the harbour, and the Distortion Club programme at night.
Distortion O takes place on Friday 4 and Saturday 5 June 2027, with the street parties running on the days around it at Radhuspladsen and in Vesterbro. Nothing else in Europe puts a festival into public squares and residential streets at this scale, which is what the opening ceremony, the Havnefest and the Champagne og Polser reception are all part of.
An O Weekend blind bird ticket is 850 kroner, with a Festival Pass covering Distortion O, X and Club. Copenhagen is 20 minutes from its airport by metro with direct flights from across Europe, and the Oresund bridge puts Malmo within 35 minutes. Early June in Denmark is mild at around 19 degrees with light until almost midnight. For a Danish city music festival, Distortion is the one that takes the streets.
