Joseph Capriati and GENNARO Team Up on ‘Control’ for Metamorfosi Records
Joseph Capriati returns to his own Metamorfosi Records with Control, his first record with Ischia house producer GENNARO, out now after a summer of plays at Amnesia.
Joseph Capriati is back on his own label. “Control”, his first record with fellow Italian GENNARO, landed on Metamorfosi Records on 18 September 2026, and it is only the second time the label’s founder has put his name to a release there.
The pairing keeps things entirely Italian. Capriati brings his long club pedigree, while GENNARO arrives as one of the fastest rising names in house right now.
Who Is GENNARO?
GENNARO comes from Ischia, the island off the coast of Naples. His reputation rests on sharp, jazz infused and deeper house, and it grew quickly after his 2024 breakout, when one of his records became a standout of the year. Since then he has released on a long list of respected labels around the world.
On “Control” he gets real space to shape the record. Capriati’s influence sits at the centre, but the track carries GENNARO’s fingerprints too, which is what makes it feel like a genuine collaboration rather than a feature.
Sax, Groove and a Vocal Hook
The track is a bouncy, polished club cut. A rolling groove does most of the work, broken up by bright saxophone passages and built around a lead vocal hook that gives the record its identity. It moves constantly, and the pair seem happy to let instinct and character lead rather than overthinking the arrangement.
Dancers in Ibiza have already heard it. “Control” was a regular in Capriati’s sets at his Metamorfosi residency at Amnesia, which ran for a fourth season this summer.
