Butch Launches Come To Butch at Chinois Ibiza for Three Dates Only

The word is out. Butch is taking over Ibiza with his first-ever residency on the island, and it is, of course, a very special one. No arena bookings, no names doing six shows a week. The guest DJs are people Butch actually admires, high-quality electronic music for those who know. Come To Butch launches this August at Chinois Ibiza as a short residency season: two Tuesdays in August and a closing night in October. Three dates. That is it.

So, after years of playing other people’s parties on Ibiza, Butch is finally throwing his own. And he is up for some fun, with you. In his own words: “Ey party people, what’s up. I have a big announcement to make. I’m doing my own event this summer, Tuesdays at Chinois Ibiza. And Adam Port, Solomun, Michael Bibi, Pawsa, none of these people are playing there. But I will be there, and other DJs. The event is Come To Butch, and The Butch will handpick you some really nice DJs.”

He has, as it turns out, been telling the truth.

Musically, it is where Butch has always sat: all forms of house music and electronica, from groovy to psychedelic, from deep to euphoric, all in the same set.

The right room for it

Chinois Ibiza is, by the way, the perfect club. Good people, 1,400 capacity, one of the best sound systems on the island, and a room where the crowd can still see what is happening in the booth. A real club, not a hangar.

You may already have noticed the campaign on socials: Butch as a series of classical luring figures. If not, go straight to Instagram and check it out. Butch as a hairy lady, as a showgirl, as a witch, as a mermaid, as a fortune teller, as a dancer, as a cowboy on a fire-spitting horse, and a lot more. Butch absurdity in perfection. Each one performing the same beckoning gesture and delivering the same line.

A busy stretch of releases

Butch starts his Chinois residency off the back of various huge releases within the last months, including records on Rekids, Life And Death, Cocoon, Running Back, Permanent Vacation, and his own imprint Finicky. Next up are releases on Saved Records and VOD, plus a remix for Partiboi69 and much more, including on his own label. Summer 2026 is full of Ibiza dates and festival shows all over Europe, including a memorable four-hour B2B with Seth Troxler at Monegros Festival.

About Butch

Producer’s producer, DJ’s DJ, and, by his own account, the most beautiful man in house music. Butch will happily agree with all three, then take the piss out of himself two seconds later.

Born and raised in Mainz with Turkish roots, he begged, borrowed, and stole his way to his first turntables as a teenager and has been hustling ever since. What sets him apart is that he never plays it safe. One night it is slow-burn psychedelia, the next it is groovy disco house, funk, or a record so odd it shouldn’t work but does. That unpredictability keeps him booked at DC-10, Circoloco, Pacha, Amnesia, Ushuaïa, Fabric, Time Warp, and Sonus, and it made his sets at Robert Johnson, his beloved residency club, the stuff of lore.

His discography is just as contradictory: Defected, Running Back, Permanent Vacation, Rekids, Innervisions, Cocoon, Crosstown Rebels, plus trippy experiments with Ricardo Villalobos as ButRic. Multiple Best Producer awards. Remixes for Cassius with Pharrell Williams, Armand Van Helden, and Chris Lake. He will still tell you it is all just loops and noises. He was also doing memes before memes were a business model: his cult YouTube series, Butch TV, roasted DJ life years before anyone called it content.
