Joseph Capriati Closes Metamorfosi’s Amnesia Ibiza Season With Jamie Jones and Chris Stassy
Metamorfosi ended its fourteen week Amnesia Ibiza residency on 29 September with a sold out Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones and Chris Stassy back to back, closing the brand's season in Amnesia's fiftieth anniversary year.
Metamorfosi closed its 2026 run at Amnesia Ibiza on Tuesday 29 September with a sold out night led by a three way back to back from Joseph Capriati, Jamie Jones and Chris Stassy. It carried on into the next day at 528, where the brand held an afterparty billed as “THE DAY AFTER”.
The closing ended fourteen straight Tuesdays that began on 30 June. The residency sat inside Amnesia’s fiftieth anniversary year and brought Capriati back to the club where his career took shape.
Fourteen Tuesdays, two rooms
The season roster covered most of what fills an Ibiza terrace in 2026. Richie Hawtin, Jamie Jones, Chris Stassy, Seth Troxler, Mau P, Josh Baker, Max Dean and Ben Klock all took the booth, alongside Maceo Plex, WhoMadeWho, Damian Lazarus, Freddy K, Cloonee, Dubfire, Anfisa Letyago, Traumer, Fatima Hajji and Wade.
One name on the closing bill needs spelling out. Chris Stassy is the new billing of Chris Stussy, the Dutch producer who changed the spelling of his artist name in August 2026, which is why the Amnesia booth screen read Capriati B2B Jamie Jones B2B Chris Stassy.
What the Club Room was for
Away from the Terrace, Metamorfosi ran a separate techno programme in the Club Room across the summer. Alarico, Serafina, Adiel and Quest played there among a younger group of techno artists, with more established names filling out the rest of the calendar. Pointing the two rooms in different directions was the plan rather than an afterthought, and it gave the residency somewhere to put records that would not work on a terrace at peak hour.
When we returned to Amnesia this summer, we had one dream: to support the true essence of clubbing of the island. A dream that started in 2022 and perhaps found its fulfilment this year. We couldn’t have asked for a better closing, with incredible music, an electric dance floor and unforgettable energy from everyone who was part of it.
The second room is the story
Plenty of Ibiza residencies promise a second room and then fill it with warm up sets. Metamorfosi put Alarico, Adiel and Quest in theirs and let it run on its own terms, which is the part of this season worth repeating. The brand signed off with “Ibiza is home, see you next year”, and the Club Room is the piece we would protect.
