About NIBIRII Festival
NIBIRII returns to the Duerener Badesee from 27 to 29 August 2027, running three days beside a lake in Dueren between Cologne and Aachen. The festival takes its name from a hypothetical planet and leans into that framing, billing itself as a planet beyond and calling the audience Nibiriians. The site at Am Badesee 1 is a natural bathing lake rather than a built arena.
The booking spans more ground than most German festivals of this size: techno, hard techno, psytrance, trance and drum and bass each get their own programming, with the organisers publishing Spotify playlists per genre to show what each stage covers. The promoters also run club shows through the year at Bootshaus and Schrotty in Cologne and Junkyard in Dortmund, which keeps the brand active outside the summer.
Entry is 18 and over with photo identification checked on the gate. The site is not fully accessible: large parts consist of sand, meadows and unpaved paths, and the organisers say they look for individual solutions rather than guaranteeing access. Tickets are sold exclusively through the official NIBIRII shop, with TicketSwap recommended for safe resale. Dueren has direct trains from Cologne in 30 minutes. It is a lakeside German music festival with an unusually wide brief.
