About RAUMKLANG The Indoor Festival
Raumklang returns as an indoor festival at the Hans-Bunte-Areal in Freiburg on 7 November 2026. The Areal is a former industrial site in the north of the city that has been converted into one of the main event spaces in Baden-Wurttemberg, and it runs its own ticketing, which is where the festival is sold.
Raumklang has run in Freiburg since the mid 2010s, with aftermovies from the 2016 and 2017 editions still circulating, and has kept to the format its name describes: a single night built around the acoustics of the room rather than a multi stage site plan. Moving indoors for November gives the production a controlled space to work with as the outdoor season closes.
Presale had not opened at the time of writing, with the ticket page live but not yet selling, so the line up and pricing were both still to come. The Hans-Bunte-Areal sits on Hans-Bunte-Strasse in Freiburg-Nord, reachable by tram and bus from the Hauptbahnhof in around 15 minutes, with the city compact enough to walk back from. Freiburg is 45 minutes from Basel and two hours from Stuttgart by train. For a German indoor music festival in the southwest, this is the November date to watch.
