About Bootshaus

Bootshaus is an electronic music club in Köln-Deutz, on the Deutzer Werft riverside site under the Zoobrücke in Cologne. It grew out of the Warehouse, which opened in 1991 as one of Germany's early techno venues, and became Bootshaus in 2004. The club is run by Bootshaus Cologne GmbH, which also organises the Nibirii and Blacklist festivals, and it says it welcomes over 200,000 guests and more than 500 DJs a year.

The club has four floors, an outdoor area and a lounge. The main floor has a state of the art L-Acoustics system, installed in February 2024 after years on Funktion-One, plus large lighting and effects. BLCKBX is the bass room under a ceiling of fans, and Dreherei is a former workshop kept as a dark, industrial techno room. The programme is broad, from EDM, big room and hardstyle to techno, trance, hard dance and tech house, with series such as Loonyland, Nibirii and Hakke360.
