Creamfields grew out of Cream, the Liverpool club night that ran weekly at Nation in Wolstenholme Square from October 1992 to June 2002. The festival’s own archive traces the event from 1998 to the present, charting its evolution from a club night into an annual multi-day festival at Daresbury in Cheshire. Sister events now run in Argentina, Chile and Malta under the Creamfields International banner.

The 2027 edition is billed as the 30 year celebration. Creamfields 2027 takes place from Thursday 26 to Sunday 29 August 2027 at Daresbury, Cheshire, over the August Bank Holiday weekend. The Prodigy were revealed in September 2026 as the first headliner, returning to the festival after 14 years to top the APEX stage on Saturday 28 August. Tickets are on sale from 250 GBP plus fees through creamfields.com and Ticketmaster, with instalment plans available.

Creamfields is a large scale dance music festival with multiple arenas covering house, techno, trance, drum and bass and mainstage electronic acts. Camping options include standard pitches, the Dreamfields luxury area and pre-pitched tents, while the Downtown village hosts bars, food and markets.
