About Phonox

Phonox is a nightclub at 418 Brixton Road in south London, a two minute walk from Brixton Underground station. It opened in September 2015 in the building that had housed the club Plan B, launched by The Columbo Group, the London operator behind XOYO. The idea was kept simple: one dancefloor, one Funktion-One sound system and DJs playing all night or extended sets, with a near floor-level booth and a small lounge bar downstairs. Capacity is around 550.

Fridays run as 4 Fridays at Phonox, where one DJ programmes four nights across a month with hand-picked guests; autumn 2026 brings Anish Kumar, Ross From Friends and a December residency from Denis Sulta. Saturdays host all-night sets and label parties, and some Saturday afternoons have day parties from 16:00. Saturday residents over the years have included Jasper James, HAAi and Esa. The music moves between house, techno, disco and drum and bass, and guests are asked not to film on the dancefloor.
