About Egg London
Egg London is a nightclub in a Victorian warehouse at 5-13 Vale Royal, just off York Way in King's Cross, north London. Laurence Malice, founder of the club night Trade, bought the building in 1997 and opened Egg in May 2003; the name refers to rebirth. Since 2024 the club has been run by Chapter 1 Creations Ltd, set up by long-standing promoter Ali Bee and former head of operations Sen Jay, which renovated the venue that year.
There are three indoor rooms: the high-ceilinged Ground Floor, the low-ceilinged Middle Floor with a KV2 sound system, and the Loft. Outside are the Loft Terrace, the covered Middle Floor Terrace with a kitchen, and the Garden Terrace. The club holds a 24-hour licence, has a capacity of about 1,000 and books mainly house and techno, with Wednesday, Friday and Saturday nights and fixed-price student tickets. Egg was listed in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs every year from 2014 to 2021, peaking at number 34 in 2018.
