About Teatro Kapital
Teatro Kapital is a seven-floor nightclub at Calle de Atocha 125 in central Madrid, a short walk from Atocha station. It sits in the area the club calls the art triangle, close to the city's main art museums, in a building that housed the Cine San Carlos cinema until the 1970s. The club opened there in 1983 as Titanic, started by businessman José Román López Paredes, and took the name Teatro Kapital in 1994. It is part of Grupo Kapital, the group behind Fabrik.
Each floor has its own look and music. The Main Room is a tall theatre hall ringed by balconies, the second floor is a karaoke room, the third a smaller dance floor, the fourth a cocktail bar and the fifth plays reggaeton, and the top floor is an open-air terrace. The club opens Wednesday to Sunday from 23:00, sells entry with drinks through Ticketclub and books VIP tables on several floors. It also hosts concerts, company events and, since 2003, the Premios Kapital awards.
