About El Sótano

El Sótano is a basement concert hall and club at Calle de las Maldonadas 6 in La Latina, in the centre of Madrid, close to La Latina metro. It runs live concerts in the early evening and club nights from midnight, Thursday to Sunday. The club programme is mostly techno and house from local promoters and collectives, with nights such as Techroom, Katársis Electrónika, Housenation, Technodrome and Riot Club, and guests in autumn 2026 including Deetron, Alexander Kowalski and Alberto Mateos. Avispero and Bossa add afternoon sessions on Saturdays and Sundays from 18:00. The room has a MAGA Engineering sound system, a DJ booth with Pioneer CDJ-3000 players and Technics turntables, pixel-mapped LED lighting across the ceiling and an LED screen behind the stage.
