About Sala El Sol
Sala El Sol is a concert hall and nightclub at Calle de los Jardines 3, a few metres from Puerta del Sol in central Madrid. It opened in 1979, set up by the architect Antonio Gastón, and is known as the cradle of La Movida madrileña; it was the first concert hall to receive a Placa Memoria from the city of Madrid. The room keeps its spiral staircase, red velvet curtains, semicircular stage and boxes. Concerts run almost daily in the evening, while late nights go under the El Sol Club name, Thursday to Saturday from 00:30, with promoters and LGBTIQ+ collectives: autumn 2026 brings Takt x Pogo with Dorian Electra, the pop club Ochoymedio and Elements Cave, a Wednesday neo rave and hard techno night. Club nights are 18+ with ID.
Door policy
