About JAKI

JAKI is the club of the Stadtgarten, the house for jazz and current music at Venloer Straße 40 in Cologne run by the Initiative Kölner Jazz Haus e.V. It opened in October 2019 and is named after Jaki Liebezeit, the drummer of CAN. The room works as both a small concert venue and a dance club: evenings bring jazz, including the Jazz at JAKI series modelled on New York jazz clubs, plus pop, rock and experimental concerts, while late-night parties cover house, electro and bass. October 2026 listings include Back2Love: Hyperlove x Back2Bass, Ehrenfeld XL and a Halloween party shared with the Concert Hall. Parties are 21+, recordings of any kind are not allowed, and the club can only be reached by stairs.
