About Odonien

Odonien, which calls itself the Freistaat für Kunst und Kultur, is an art and club site at Hornstraße 85 in the Neuehrenfeld district of Cologne. It sits on former wasteland between railway tracks and grew out of the open-air studio of sculptor Odo Rumpf, whose rust-brown sculptures made from industrial scrap fill the grounds, and it is run by Odo Rumpf GmbH. Odonien describes itself as the largest socio-cultural venue of Cologne's independent scene, combining a sculpture park, beer garden, indoor club, cultural space and workshop. The club programme covers techno, trance and house with touring DJs and locals, while the culture side brings theatre, concerts, flea markets and open-air cinema. In summer the site opens free on Friday evenings.

Club nights run under the house messages no phone club, watch your drink, only yes means yes and respect each other. Dogs on a lead are allowed outdoors but not at indoor club parties.
