About Contact Festival
Contact Festival takes the Zenith complex in Munich on 5 and 6 December 2026, an indoor techno festival running five stages across the Zenith, Kesselhaus, Kohlebunker and Dampfdom. The programme starts at 2pm and runs to 5am, with more than 30 international artists across the weekend.
The venue is the reason the format works. The Zenith site in Freimann is a cluster of connected industrial halls of different sizes, which lets Contact run five genuinely distinct rooms rather than partitioning a single space, and the festival has used it since the mid 2010s.
Contact publishes an official aftermovie for each edition, with films going back to 2016. Tickets are sold through the festival’s own site. The Zenith is around 20 minutes from Munich Hauptbahnhof by U-Bahn to Freimann, with Munich Airport 30 minutes away by S-Bahn, and the city’s hotel stock is extensive outside Oktoberfest. For a German indoor techno music festival, Contact is the one that uses its building best.
