About Sisyphos
Sisyphos, known to regulars as Sisy, is a techno club in a former dog biscuit factory in Rummelsburg, in Berlin's Lichtenberg district. The arts association Sommerleuchten took over the site in 2008, the first small parties followed in 2009, and the grounds grew step by step into a partly open-air club with a large outdoor area and room for about 1,500 guests. It is run by Sisyphos Event GmbH.
Parties run every weekend from spring until New Year, usually non-stop from Friday 22:00 to Monday 10:00, followed by a winter break until about early March. There are five floors: the outdoor Strand, the Wintergarten for house, which is the only floor that plays around the clock, the Dampfer for deep house, tech house and techno, and the Hammahalle and Tunnel for techno. Each weekend has its own theme and a programme of concerts, fire shows and performances. The ducks on the iron entrance gate are the club's emblem, and regulars call themselves Enten, or ducks. Entry is 21+.
Door policy
From the club's own rulesEntry is 21+. No military-style clothing or camouflage, and no football or national team shirts; large backpacks, suitcases and bulky luggage stay at home. Do not smoke or take photos in the queue, and entry can pause when the club reaches capacity.
