About Depot
Depot is a 2,100-capacity warehouse events venue at Unit 8, Curran Road in Cardiff. It has been running events since 2015 and describes itself as a warehouse for pop up events: events it has created include Ginstock, By Order Of, Hip Hop Karaoke and Pizza & Prosecco, and its Friday night Bingo Lingo parties regularly sell out. The space is also hired for corporate events, beer festivals and film shoots.
For dance music, Depot is the home of Shangri-La, the Cardiff promoter started by two Cardiff Met students in April 2011, which marked 15 years with an all-day Patrick Topping set at Depot on 11 April 2026. Its autumn 2026 programme mixes house and tech house, from Rossi, Kolter and Duke Dumont to Sasha and John Digweed, with Saturday day parties from 15:00 and night events until 02:00 or 03:00. Drum and bass nights such as WAH x Bedlam also use the room, and the Depot team has staged outdoor events at Cardiff Castle.
