About Carousel Bar & Ballroom

Carousel Bar & Ballroom is a nightclub and live-event venue on the second level of 169 Oxford Street in Darlinghurst, Sydney. It opened in September 2023, set up by the team behind the S.A.S.H parties, on one of Oxford Street's longest-running club sites, previously home to Byblos, Miind Club and Nevermind. During the renovation the team uncovered a rotating stage believed to date from the Capriccio's era. The room holds up to 350 people standing and has a 58-speaker Funktion-One sound system, lighting imported from Amsterdam, three bars, a dancefloor-first DJ booth and a VIP area. The music covers house, techno and disco alongside live shows and comedy. Main club nights run on Fridays and Saturdays from 10pm, and the club says it ranked No. 83 in Nightlife International's The World's 100 Best Clubs 2025.
