Tomorrowland 2026 Weekend 2: The Techno Set Times Are Off Camera
Tomorrowland closes its 21st edition on 24 to 26 July, but the video feed carries only two stages. Here is where the techno actually sits, and how to hear it.
Tomorrowland’s second and final weekend opens at De Schorre in Boom on Friday 24 July, closing the festival’s 21st edition with the same headline figures as the first: more than 500 artists across 16 stages. If you are following it from a laptop rather than from Dreamville, though, the document that matters this week is not the line-up. It is the broadcast plan, and it is much thinner than the line-up suggests.
The stream starts at 14:00 CEST each day and runs on Tomorrowland’s YouTube channel, its website and app, plus Instagram and TikTok. The catch is that the video feed carries the Mainstage and Freedom by Bud only. Everything else, Atmosphere and CORE included, is audio through One World Radio, which broadcasts from seven stages in total.
That splits techno across two very different weekends. On camera, Amelie Lens closes Freedom by Bud on Sunday 26 July from 22:00 to 23:30 with her Aura production, comfortably the clearest techno moment the video audience will get, while Indira Paganotto and Sara Landry turn up in the Mainstage broadcast.
Off camera is where it gets heavier. Atmosphere runs the hard end of the programme across the three days: Hannah Laing on Friday 24 July from 18:30, Nico Moreno on Saturday 25, and names including I Hate Models, AZYR, Novah and BiiA b2b Charlie Sparks. CORE keeps its own line with Freddy K, HAAi b2b The Blessed Madonna and DJ Boring b2b DJ Seinfeld. None of that reaches the video feed.
One thing has changed since weekend one. Local authorities in Boom have cleared limited pyrotechnics for 24 to 26 July after banning fireworks outright between 17 and 19 July: T1 and T2 effects only, Mainstage only, reviewed daily, with Belgium still under a Code Orange wildfire warning. Large-scale fireworks stay off, and personal barbecues remain banned at the campsites.
The Techno Airlines view
Two stages on video out of sixteen is a commercial decision rather than an oversight, and it says plainly where Tomorrowland believes its mass audience sits. It also means the sets people argue about on Monday, the Atmosphere and CORE bookings, will exist only as radio audio and phone footage. Weekend one produced a surprise Charlotte de Witte Mainstage appearance that nobody had on the timetable. The second weekend’s best odds are on the stages you can only hear.
