All About Francisco Allendes

Francisco Allendes, a Chilean DJ and producer now living in Ibiza, is one of the hottest talents in the contemporary dance music scene. Active in the electronic circuit from his teenage years, Francisco Allendes has moved forward and grown to release music for some of the most prestigious labels in techno and house, such as Desolat, Kaluki, VIVa Music, Cadenza, Snatch, Mood, and Crosstown Rebels.

The Fiebre Amarilla World Tour 2009 consecrated him on the world DJ platform and ever since, he has been omnipresent in his home country with high-profile sets in Chile at Creamfields, Awakenings, Mysteryland, and Love Parade Festivals as well as on the world stage at major events such as Tomorrowland, Medusa, MMW, BPM, ANTS, and HYTE to name but a few. His sound as a producer shifts between synthetic house and techno grooves – always displaying flashes of organic rhythms and percussion.

Francisco Allendes has produced several hits on the tech and house scene — the most recognizable being Always Around, Llovizna, Together, Esa Nena Quiere, Poncho!, and Roulette. His productions have been widely received and supported by some of the most influential DJs of our time, including Carl Cox, Loco Dice, Marco Carola, Luciano, and Damian Lazarus.

The past few years have seen Francisco Allendes continue his presence in Ibiza – still holding a residency at Ibiza‘s biggest underground event, ANTS at Ushuaia, in addition to playing parties at several of the island’s other superclubs, including regular dates for summer 2022 at Octan Ibiza, for their new party “Encore”. His continued love of the white isle and the events he plays there resulted in the accolade of best Ibiza DJ at the DJ Awards in September 2019 – a prize that Francisco Allendes himself recognizes as one of the best moments of his career so far and a symbol of the island he feels has already given him so much.

He has also continued his extensive worldwide touring with dates spanning the globe and involving sets at some of the world’s most recognizable clubs and festivals. He has completed several extensive South America tours, one of which included an exclusive live performance with his own “Allendes Orchestra” at Creamfields, Santiago, Chile. To be able to perform live with fellow musicians in his home city was a dream come true for Francisco Allendes and allowed him to introduce elements of his classical past to his electronic present.

Francisco Allendes was also one of the leading forces behind the debut of the ANTS brand in Chile, which resulted in a spectacular show in his hometown. He has toured with the colony at clubs and festivals throughout the world, including dates in Dubai, Mexico, Croatia, Belgium (Tomorrowland), the Netherlands (Kingsday), Poland (Sunrise Festival), Miami (MMW), Spain, Italy, and London (Printworks), to name but a few.

Complementing an enviable individual touring schedule that has seen him play at the likes of Dreambeach Festival (Spain), Awakenings (ADE), The Drumsheds London (Carl Cox and Friends), and more recently a US tour including dates in Vegas, San Diego, and San Francisco, it’s fair to say Allendes’s wings have taken him far from Santiago where his story began.

Of course, as much as he loves to tour, you will never find Francisco Allendes far from his beloved studio, where, in the last few years, he has penned releases for Saved, Desolat, Cadenza, VIVa, KMS, Rawthentic, Kaluki, Sola, 8Bit, and Snatch. Though never one to rest on his laurels, Francisco Allendes spent the last few years throughout the pandemic developing web-based production masterclasses, which he directed and which resulted in several collaborations with his students.

In addition, he penned new tracks of his own with recent releases on Elrow and Crosstown Rebels, with his own label in the pipeline too. Indeed you will find Francisco Allendes working on his next project most days whenever he is not touring – in Francisco Allendes‘s own words “music has always been part of my life – I have never done or wanted to do anything but music, and I can’t imagine a day when I’m not doing something music related”. This ethic is one that keeps Francisco Allendes in the spotlight and will also fuel his commitment to the electronic scene for many years to come.
