Nuits Sonores (Lyon, France) 2027

Nuits Sonores 2027 takes place in Lyon from Wednesday 5 to Sunday 9 May 2027. It will be the 24th edition of the festival run by the Lyon association Arty Farty, which splits each year into daytime programmes, night programmes, free open airs and the Nuits sonores Lab talks. The 2027 line-up and venues have not been announced yet, and pre-registration for tickets is open on the official website.

When is Nuits Sonores 2027?

The official site gives the dates as 5 to 9 May 2027 in Lyon, France. That follows the 2026 edition, which ran for five days and four nights from 13 to 17 May 2026. At the close of that edition the organisers announced “rendez-vous en mai 2027” for the 24th edition, and the 2027 dates now sit at the top of every page of nuits-sonores.com.

Where does Nuits Sonores take place?

Nuits Sonores spreads across several sites in Lyon rather than one field. In 2026 the Days and the Closing Day were held at Les Grandes Locos, a former SNCF rail workshop at 12 rue Gabriel Péri in La Mulatière, with four stages in its high industrial halls; 2026 was the third edition there. The Nights were at La Sucrière on Quai Rambaud in the Confluence district, with a central 360 degree dancefloor, a smaller club room and Le Sucre for immersive live shows. Free open airs ran outside HEAT on Quai Perrache, and Hôtel71 hosted most of the Lab programme. The 2027 venues will be confirmed with the programme.

Who played Nuits Sonores 2026?

The 2026 programme had more than 150 acts across techno, house, bass, experimental and live electronics. Names on the official A to Z list included Carl Craig b2b Seth Troxler, Four Tet, Ben Klock, Amelie Lens, Ben UFO, Juan Atkins, Rødhåd b2b Tauceti, Sonja Moonear, Mochakk, Skream and Benga, 808 State (live), Nathan Fake (live AV), James Holden and Waclaw Zimpel (live), Peaches (live) and Kali Malone, who played a special concert in the Chapelle de la Trinité. In their closing note the organisers thanked 98,000 festival-goers and said every site had sold out.

How do you get Nuits Sonores 2027 tickets?

Tickets for 2027 are not on sale yet. The official website has a pre-registration form for the 2027 edition, which is the way to hear first when passes go on sale. In 2026 the Days, the Nights and the special concerts were separate programmes, while the open airs at HEAT were free, so check the 2027 ticket page for the pass format before you book travel.

Is Nuits Sonores a techno festival?

Techno and house are at its core, with Detroit names such as Carl Craig and Juan Atkins and Berlin names such as Ben Klock booked in 2026, but the programme is wider than a straight techno festival. Live electronics, club music from Africa, the Middle East and Asia, and talks on music and society sit side by side.
