Ikarus Festival (Memmingerberg, Germany) 2027

Ikarus Festival returns to Allgaeu Airport in Memmingerberg from 25 to 27 June 2027, three days of electronic music on the apron and taxiways of a former military airfield in Bavarian Swabia. The organisers plan more than 150 acts across eight stages, each given its own identity, with camping on the field alongside the arenas.

The airport setting is what separates Ikarus from the German festival pack. The runway edge gives the site unusually long sightlines and hard standing for heavy production, while the fields beyond carry a campsite large enough that the weekend works as a stay rather than a day trip. Programming spreads across techno, house, hardstyle, drum and bass and mainstage electronic material rather than committing to one lane.

The event has grown steadily since the mid 2010s and recent editions have carried names including Paul Kalkbrenner and Scooter. Phase one early bird tickets for 2027 went on sale ahead of the first artist announcement, sold through the festival’s own shop, and premium and camping upgrades are handled separately. Memmingen is on the Munich to Lindau rail line and Memmingen Airport sits on the same site as the festival, which makes it one of the easier German festivals to reach by air.
