Edinburgh is not the first city most people associate with industrial techno, which is exactly why Terminal V feels like such a coup. Twice a year the hangars of the Royal Highland Centre fill with strobes, steel and tens of thousands of Scottish ravers, and the festival has grown into the UK’s most important techno gathering, with satellite editions reaching as far as London’s Drumsheds. With more than 260 tracks, it functions as a full lineup walkthrough: every artist on the bill gets floor space, so you can study the entire festival before the first gate opens. It is the rare festival playlist that actually mirrors what will come out of the sound system rather than a loose genre mood board.

The 2026 class is heavy on new-school firepower. Sara Landry owns the opening run with “GIRLBOSS” and joins forces with Nico Moreno on the defiant “Because They Want Our Seat“, while her link-up with Alt8 on “Heaven” shows the melodic edge of the hard techno wave. Alex Farell charts the late hours with “3am in Berlin” and “Bring Me Up“.

Play it front to back on a long motorway stretch or use it as homework before the festival weekend. Either way it captures a scene in full acceleration: young headliners, merciless kick drums and a Scottish crowd that treats every drop like a cup final goal.
