Echelon Festival (Bad Aibling, Germany) 2027

Echelon Festival returns to Bad Aibling on 13 and 14 August 2027, running two days on the grounds of a former United States barracks in Upper Bavaria. The site has an unusual backdrop: the white radomes of the old Echelon signals intelligence station stand on the hill above the stages, with the Alps behind them, and the 2027 edition is billed around the Forbidden Grounds theme that plays on that history.

More than 100 artists are booked across the weekend and the line up is already deep. The Friday brings Paul van Dyk, Angerfist, Maddix, Lilly Palmer, Harris and Ford, HBz and Ely Oaks to the Radiant stage, with Charlotte de Witte, Klangkuenstler, Rikhter and a live set from Kalte Liebe on Echo. The Saturday runs Boris Brejcha, Deborah de Luca, Vini Vici, Peacock in Concert, Holy Priest, Mischluft, Noel Holler and Oswald alongside Kobosil, I Hate Models, Charlie Sparks, Luciid, In Verruf and Schrotthagen.

Camping runs alongside the site and the organisers publish arrival, accessibility and job information on the official site, with tickets sold directly. Bad Aibling sits around 50 kilometres south east of Munich on the line towards Rosenheim and Salzburg, which puts it within easy reach of Munich airport. For a techno and hard dance music festival with an Alpine backdrop, it is the Bavarian fixture.
