YARD Festival is the four day weekend that the Portuguese promoter YARD builds in the White Sand Mountains, a quarry landscape in Azeitão, less than an hour south of Lisbon. The 2026 edition ran from 21 to 24 May with 29 acts on the bill, and the official events page lists it as sold out.
What is YARD Festival?
YARD programmes a whole season at the same site rather than one weekend a year, and the May festival is the centrepiece of that calendar. The booking policy stretches from house and melodic electronica to live shows, which is how a single bill holds Bonobo and Parov Stelar next to Chris Stussy and Seth Troxler. Two areas run alongside the music: YART, a gallery of work by Portuguese artists placed across the grounds, and Playground, a rest area between the stages. A green mission covering reusable cups, recyclable cans and waste sorting applies to every event of the season. The result is a music festival built into a working landscape rather than a rented field.
Where does it take place?
The site is the White Sand Mountains in Azeitão, in the Setúbal district of Portugal. Pale quarry walls form a bowl around the main dancefloor, and the Heart Stage is the smaller room the organisers describe as the heart of the site rather than a side stage. The 2026 posters read White Sand Mountains and more, because the programme also reached beyond the quarry into the surrounding countryside, taking in a historic castle, a coastal park and vineyard country. The Arrábida natural park and its beaches sit a short drive away, and the organisers point visitors towards the local wine estates for the days either side of the weekend.
Who played the 2026 edition?
The A to Z line-up ran to 29 names. Bonobo, Parov Stelar, Seth Troxler, Jamie Jones, Chris Stussy and Gui Boratto carried the headline slots, with live shows from Monolink, RY X and Møhk. Ahmed Spins, Amrita, Anthöny, Bhaskar, Coletrickle, Duddha, Jackson, Jarl Flamar, Julia Sandstorm, Lemurian, Miguel Nery, Miguelle & Tons, Mushina, Perote, Rhama, Sainte Vie, Salomé Le Chat, Santi & Tuğçe, Saraga and Yumi Project completed the poster.
What else happened at the site in 2026?
The festival opened a season that carried on through the summer at the same quarry. Rampa & Adam Port played on 18 July and Disclosure on 25 July, both sold out, and the season closed with One Last Summer Dance on 11 and 12 September alongside The Moment by WhoMadeWho. The promoter also took its New Year programme abroad, with AYÁ Music & Arts Festival running in Jericoacoara, Brazil, from 27 December to 1 January.
Is there another edition coming?
The organisers have not announced the next edition yet. No 2027 date or line-up for YARD Festival has appeared on yard-events.com or on the festival’s Instagram account, where the season was signed off with a note about saying goodbye to the White Sand Mountains until next year. Tickets for every 2026 event went through Shotgun, and this page will be updated once a date is confirmed.
