Avicii’s Full Tomorrowland 2011 Set Is Out: Where to Watch and Why Levels at 15 Matters

Tomorrowland, the Avicii Estate and Pophouse released the complete Tomorrowland 2011 MainStage set on 28 October 2026, 15 years after Levels came out. Where to watch it, what is in it and the Levels timeline from Essential Mix to one billion streams.

Avicii’s full Tomorrowland 2011 MainStage set is finally online. Tomorrowland, the Avicii Estate and Pophouse published the complete recording on 28 October 2026, fifteen years to the day after “Levels” was released. It was Tim Bergling’s first Tomorrowland show and the first time a festival crowd heard “Levels”, three months before anyone could buy it. Watch it below, then read how the set and the track fit together.

What was released and where can you watch it?

The full set went out as a collaborative post on the Tomorrowland and Avicii YouTube channels, and it is also on Avicii Community, the fan platform the estate runs at avicii.com. The audio is in the Tomorrowland app alongside the festival’s other archived sets. Within two days the YouTube upload had passed 330,000 views.

Until now the performance existed online only as phone footage and fan edits. The official recording is the Saturday 23 July 2011 MainStage show in Boom, Avicii’s debut at the festival, in the year Tomorrowland had its first sell-out and its first “Belgian people, where are you?” moment with a crowd that had become international almost overnight.

Why does this set matter?

Because of one track. “Levels” was still unreleased that weekend. Tim had played an early, untitled version on Pete Tong’s Essential Mix on 11 December 2010, road tested it through the spring and debuted the version with the Etta James vocal at Ultra Miami in March 2011. By July a bootleg rip on YouTube was heading for 20 million views, and the Tomorrowland crowd already knew the riff. The 2011 set is the moment a demo turned into a festival anthem in front of a camera.

Three months later, on 28 October 2011, the single came out and did the rest: number one in Sweden for seven weeks, number one in Norway, top ten in the UK, the Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Denmark, Ireland and Switzerland, Best Song at the 2012 Grammis, a Grammy nomination for Best Dance Recording and an MTV VMA nomination for the video. It is the record that turned a 21-year-old Stockholm producer into the face of the 2010s EDM boom in the United States.

What else is in the set?

The upload runs as a single MainStage slot and there is no official tracklist in the description, so we are not going to guess one for you. What you will hear is the 2011 Avicii sound at full stretch: his own records of that year, the big-room progressive house he was pulling from the Swedish scene around him, and “Levels” dropped into a crowd that reacts to the riff before the vocal arrives. If you only have ten minutes, find that moment and watch the field.

Avicii and Tomorrowland after 2011

The 2011 show started a run. Avicii played the MainStage again in 2012, 2013, 2014 and 2015, and three of those sets have since been released on Apple Music in Spatial Audio. “Levels” has topped the Tomorrowland Top 1000, the festival’s annual fan vote on One World Radio, four times, most recently in 2026. The Avicii Tribute Experience, the estate’s travelling show, returned to the festival in Boom in summer 2026, and Tomorrowland’s own archive now treats his sets the way rock festivals treat their legendary live tapes.

Tim Bergling died on 20 April 2018 at 28. The estate’s work since then has been steady rather than loud: the “I’m Tim” documentary on Netflix, the billion-stream milestones, the final Swedish show from 2016 released online, and this week, alongside the set, the Tim Bergling Foundation opened a free music studio in Sweden for young producers. For an introduction to the man behind the alias, start with five things to know about Avicii.

Our take

Fifteen years on, “Levels” is a strange record to write about on a techno site, because the sound it launched is the one techno spent the following decade defining itself against. That is exactly why the 2011 set is worth your time. It is a document of the moment EDM went from a club scene to a stadium business, played by the person who did most to make that happen, before any of it was a business plan. The crowd shots do the arguing. Watch it once for nostalgia and once for what it tells you about where the main stages went next.
