About
Nation of Gondwana is a collective-run open-air techno festival organised by the Pyonen crew at the Waldsee, a forest lake near Grunefeld in Brandenburg, a short drive north of Berlin. The organisers describe the weekend as a semi-fictional parallel world and a kind of escape from reality, and the site is a mix of woodland, lake shore and camping meadows.
The 2027 edition, announced by Pyonen on Facebook and Instagram as the 33rd Nation of Gondwana, takes place from 15 to 18 July 2027. The official website still shows the 2026 edition and no 2027 ticket page is live yet. The 2026 line-up gives a sense of the booking policy, with Robert Hood, Rodhad, Octo Octa, Avalon Emerson, Dasha Rush, Jennifer Cardini and Prosumer among more than a hundred names.
According to the official info page, the programme runs across four stages from a Friday opening by the Grunefelder Frauenchor through to Sunday evening, with a music break on the Friday morning. Payment on site is cashless, camping is included with the ticket, and the crew runs a secure bike stage plus guided group cycle rides from Berlin, and camping equipment can be rented through a partner. Expect house and techno with a strong leftfield and queer-friendly edge.
