Isle of Wight Festival (Newport, UK) 2027

The Isle of Wight Festival returns from 17 to 20 June 2027, presented by Sky. The festival carries one of the longest lineages in British music, running from the original 1968 to 1970 events that drew Jimi Hendrix, The Doors and Bob Dylan to the island before being revived in 2002.

Calvin Harris headlined the main stage in 2026, which gives a sense of where the booking sits now: a broad bill that takes in dance headliners alongside rock and pop rather than specialising.

Tickets are sold through the festival’s own site. The island is reached by ferry from Portsmouth, Southampton and Lymington in under an hour, with Newport in the middle of it, and London is two hours from Portsmouth by direct train. Mid June on the south coast is mild at around 19 degrees with light until well past 21:30. For a British music festival with that much history behind it, the Isle of Wight is in a category of its own.
