About Moon Festival
Moon Festival returns to Sawmills in Bristol on 31 December 2026 under the title The Extraordinary Civilisation, running from 6pm to 3am. The organisers describe it as the biggest New Year’s Eve dance music event in the United Kingdom, and it is the only festival in central Bristol with six purpose built stages.
Those stages each carry their own identity and experience: Nebula, Black Hole, Full Moon, Hyperspace, Eclipse and Be Your Alien. An interactive quest runs across the night, with prizes for anyone who completes it, which is an unusual addition to a drum and bass event.
The announced bill is drum and bass and jungle: Original Sin, Eksman, DJ Hazard, Upgrade, Emily Makis, Bladerunner, Enei, Burt Cope, De Gladde Paling, Hang The DJs and Formula LDN, with dozens more headliners still to be named. Invicta Audio and Bris-Tek promote it. Tickets start at 26 pounds and entry is 18 and over, sold through Resident Advisor. Sawmills is at 30 Pennywell Road in St Jude’s, walkable from Bristol Temple Meads. For a British New Year music festival, this is the biggest single night.
