About Hive Festival
Hive Festival returns to Ferropolis at Grafenhainichen from 18 to 20 June 2027, three days of techno on the industrial museum site in Saxony-Anhalt. Ferropolis is the city of iron: five giant lignite mining excavators standing on a peninsula in a flooded pit, kept as a monument.
Those machines are up to 30 metres tall and 120 long, and festivals have used the arena between them for twenty years. Hive builds immersive stage worlds into that setting, which the organisers put alongside music and people as the three things the festival is about.
Tickets are sold through ticket.io. Grafenhainichen is 40 minutes from Leipzig and an hour and a half from Berlin by road, with both cities served by international airports and Dessau the nearest town. Mid June in Saxony-Anhalt is warm at around 22 degrees. For a German techno music festival, Hive has the most extraordinary site in the country.
