Green Man Festival (Brecon Beacons, United Kingdom) 2027

Green Man returns to the Glanusk Estate near Crickhowell from 19 to 22 August 2027, running four days of independent music, science, comedy and art in the Bannau Brycheiniog national park in Wales. The festival is independently owned, which is increasingly unusual at this scale in Britain, and the programme reflects that in how much space it gives to things other than headline bookings.

The site is split into named areas, each with its own identity: Mountain’s Foot and Far Out carry the main music, the Walled Garden and Chai Wallahs style spaces run smaller sets, Einstein’s Garden covers science and nature, Babbling Tongues handles literature and talks, Little Folk is the children’s area and Nature Nurture runs wellness. The Settlement opens earlier in the week for ticket holders who want to arrive ahead of the main programme.

Camping is included with the weekend ticket and accessibility is handled in partnership with Attitude is Everything. The festival runs its own charity, the Green Man Trust, and the Green Man Rising competition gives an unsigned act a main stage slot. Abergavenny is the nearest station, around 20 minutes from site by shuttle, with Cardiff and Bristol both within two hours. It is the Welsh music festival that has stayed independent and stayed interesting.
