Field Maneuvers (Norfolk, United Kingdom) 2027

Field Maneuvers returns to Norfolk from 20 to 22 August 2027, running the small weekender that has built one of the most protective followings in British dance music. The festival has operated since 2014 on a capacity that stays in the low thousands, with the organisers consistently refusing to scale it up, and tickets have historically cleared long before the line up is published.

The format is a handful of tents rather than a main stage hierarchy, programmed across house, techno, electro and the harder and stranger corners of club music. There is no VIP area, no corporate branding and no separate artist compound, which is a large part of the appeal: the DJs camp in the same field as everyone else. The organisers keep the exact Norfolk site unpublished, giving directions to ticket holders.

Tickets are sold directly through the festival site in a small number of releases, with announcements going out through its Instagram and mailing list. Norwich is the nearest city and the practical arrival point for anyone without a car, roughly two hours from London by train. The 2027 bill had not been published at the time of writing, which is standard for the event. For a deliberately small British music festival, it is the one most often held up as the model.
