About
Every summer, EXIT Festival transforms Serbia’s historic Petrovaradin Fortress in Novi Sad into a vibrant hub of music, culture, and unforgettable experiences. Hosting over a thousand artists across 40 unique stages and festival zones, EXIT has become a global destination celebrated for its powerful performances and dedication to social responsibility.
EXIT’s status as Europe’s premier music festival is backed by impressive accolades, including “Best Major European Festival” (EU Festival Awards, 2013 and 2017), “Best Overseas Festival” (UK Festival Awards, 2007), and “Best Summer Music Festival” by European Best Destinations in 2016. In 2021, EXIT made history by being Europe’s first major festival since the pandemic, welcoming more than 180,000 fans for its 20th anniversary.
Originating in 2000 as a student-led movement promoting democracy in Serbia and peace in the Balkans, EXIT quickly evolved from University Park to the spectacular fortress setting by 2001. Its core mission remains unchanged — driving social change through music, while championing humanitarian efforts, environmental sustainability, and regional unity.
The festival is renowned for showcasing a star-studded lineup across genres, previously hosting legends like Guns N’ Roses, David Guetta, Wu-Tang Clan, Arctic Monkeys, Avicii, and The Prodigy. Beyond Novi Sad, EXIT has expanded across Southeast Europe with sister events in Montenegro, Croatia, Romania, and Bulgaria, continually delivering diverse, unforgettable experiences.
EXIT Festival 2025 promises another incredible chapter, blending powerful music performances, vibrant culture, and meaningful social impact — an essential European summer experience.
