About Geisha Bar

Geisha Bar is a small house music club at 135a James Street in Northbridge, the nightlife district just north of Perth's city centre. The club calls itself a sonic temple of underground sounds and describes a room of timber, leather, contemporary art and old bus seats, built around the idea of a small, intimate club. Broadsheet wrote in 2017 that Geisha had kept a house music policy for 18 years, with international guests such as Derrick Carter, Hernan Cattaneo, Deetron, Nick Warren and Jeff Mills over that time, and that a Funktion-One system had been installed. Its regular nights include Geisha Saturdays and the Friday party OFF GRID, with local and touring house and techno DJs, and the venue also hosts private functions for groups of 30 or more.
