About LOD
LOD, short for Lord Of the Drinks, is a large nightclub in Bhagwatisthan, in the Thamel district of Kathmandu. It opened in 2019 and celebrated its seventh anniversary in February 2026. The venue has an arena-style layout: a main stage faces a big dancefloor with an island bar in the middle, surrounded by raised sofa sections and VIP and VVIP tables. OnlineKhabar reported in 2022 that it covers about 9,600 square feet and holds up to 2,500 people.
The club describes its sound as a full-spectrum international EDM experience on a d&b audiotechnik system, with hydraulic lighting and aerial trapeze acts. Guests have included Alok, Timmy Trumpet, Quintino, Mike Williams, Le Twins, Vinai and Topic, along with Bollywood singers and rappers such as Lil Pump and Wyclef Jean. Friday specials, Bollytech nights and parties for Nepali festivals such as Nepali New Year sit alongside nights for local DJs. LOD says it is the first club in Nepal to appear in DJ Mag's Top 100 Clubs, and it placed No. 40 in 2026.
