About La Folie Douce Val d’Isère

La Folie Douce Val d'Isère is an après-ski venue on the slopes at 2,400 metres, by the La Daille gondola above Val d'Isère. Luc Reversade created the first Folie Douce here in 1974, and the brand now counts seven Folie Douce venues plus a hotel in Chamonix; the Val d'Isère site calls itself the birthplace of après-ski. In the winter season it opens daily from 9:00 to 17:00. A cabaret show on a 360-degree stage runs from 12:30 to 14:00, then the open-air après-ski with international DJs, electronic music and live performers takes over the terrace from 14:00 to 17:00. Club 1969, a VIP area behind the DJ overlooking the terrace, is open from 12:00 to 17:00, and the site also has five restaurants, including La Fruitière. The venue closes after the ski season and reopens in November.
