Les Trans Musicales (Rennes, France) 2026

Les Rencontres Trans Musicales holds its forty eighth edition in Rennes from 2 to 6 December 2026, five days across the city and the exhibition halls at the edge of it. The festival has run since 1979 and its reputation rests on one thing: it books artists before anyone else has heard of them.

Nirvana, Daft Punk, Bjork, Stromae and Christine and the Queens all played Trans Musicales early, and the programme is still built almost entirely from acts without a profile rather than from headliners. The festival spreads across the Parc Expo halls for the main nights and smaller city venues including the Ubu for the rest, which is how it keeps the discovery format at scale.
