About Le Sucre

Le Sucre is a club and cultural venue for 780 people on the roof of La Sucrière, on Quai Rambaud in Lyon's Confluence district. It began in October 2011 as a temporary space during the Lyon Biennale of contemporary art, and Culture Next opened it permanently on 26 June 2013. It is part of the Arty Farty group behind the Nuits sonores festival. The programme covers a wide range of electronic music, with club nights on Fridays and Saturdays, Sunday parties from 18:00 such as S.society, and the Magic Mardi Tuesday sessions. Long-running nights include Garçon Sauvage, S.society and Children of the Drum. Sound comes from a custom Meyer system, and the French Ministry of Culture has given the venue its Club Culture label.
