About Rise Festival
Rise Festival returns to Les Deux Alpes from 5 to 12 December 2026, a full week combining skiing and snowboarding with a music programme that the organisers describe as Europe’s highest festival. The resort sits between 1,650 and 3,600 metres, with the glacier open at the top from the start of December.
The format pairs daytime on the mountain with afternoon and evening music, so the week works as a ski holiday with a festival attached rather than the other way round. Rise passed its tenth edition in 2024 under the heading Ten Years on Top of the World, and publishes a full aftermovie for each year.
Packages combining accommodation, lift passes and festival access are sold alongside festival only tickets, with sales through Skiddle and the organisers’ own channels. Les Deux Alpes is around 90 minutes from Grenoble and two hours from Lyon by road, with transfers run from both airports during the season. Early December is the opening of the Alpine season, which means fresh snow and far fewer people than February. For a ski resort music festival, Rise is the one that opens the winter.
