About Karmen Camina
Karmen Camina opened in May 2024 in the former boiler room and printing works of the Manufacture des Tabacs, the 19th-century tobacco factory in Strasbourg's Krutenau district. It is run by the cooperative SCIC Tiers-Lab and spreads over about 500 square metres with a cafe and bar, the Club room downstairs and the Gallery upstairs, plus a terrace and rooftop. The Gallery has a 360 degree sound dome of around 35 speakers built by CYM Acoustics, while the Club uses an analogue Danley Sound Labs system. The programme mixes concerts with DJ nights: free Thursday COMBO CLUB sessions, collective takeovers on Fridays and the Saturday Klub Camina nights of techno, minimal, industrial and trance that run until 06:30. Ticket prices follow a three-tier solidarity, full and support model.
