About Galerie Kurzweil
Galerie Kurzweil, or KRZWL, is a club in a former Deutsche Bahn dispatch building at Bismarckstraße 133A in Darmstadt, right next to the main station. Alper Sepik founded it in 2013 with his childhood friend Juan Gravalos and named it after the US inventor and author Raymond Kurzweil. After a first run in a former industrial building on Kirschenallee, the club moved to its current home, which was renovated over a year and has served as a culture centre since 2017. Its centrepiece is a custom sound system by Bob Schweizer of Die Audio Company, and Thomas Hammann, owner of the Darmstadt record shop Pentagon, helps curate the bookings. The programme leans to house and techno, with autumn 2026 nights including Gerd Janson with Thomas Hammann, Klaudia Gawlas, Gregor Tresher and a Halloween edition with Talla 2XLC.
